Okay so a few weeks ago my mom sent me this picture of a “Secret Brownie Recipe” that my cousin and I had written down who knows how long ago. It was pretty cute and so I decided to try and recreate it. Well, it was a total flop lol. My brother called them “deep dish” brownies and they honestly just tasted like bland chocolate sheet cake. ANYWAYS, that obviously isn’t the recipe that I am sharing with you all. I went back to the drawing board and came up with this super simple brownie recipe that comes together in one bowl and is sure to please anyone who likes chocolate. I don’t use anything fancy, but they are still fudgy and rich.
Ingredients:
- ½ Cup Cocoa Powder
- 1/2 Cup Flour
- ½ Tsp Salt
- 1 Cup Sugar
- 3 Eggs
- ½ Cup Vegetable Oil
- 1 Tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1/2 Cup Chocolate Chips

Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350F
- In a medium bowl, whisk dry ingredients together
- In the same bowl add eggs, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract
- Fold in ¼ cup chocolate chips
- Oil a 9×13 in pan
- Pour batter into pan and sprinkle remaining chocolate chips on top
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until brownies are set and top looks like a pillow (trust me, you’ll know what I mean)
- Remove from oven and allow at least 15 minutes to cool before cutting
Note: I prefer my brownies thinner, and also I’m impatient and like them to cook fast. However, you can use a smaller pan and increase the baking time to get thicker brownies.
